Motorola Rep Shows Up at Verizon Store with a Droid Bionic and Dock [PICTURES]

Pictures have been taken of a live Bionic at a Verizon store. I hope the girl holding the device in the capture has small hands, otherwise this phone looks to be massive. There are some better pictures of the Bionic here in my opinion, but there is a nice shot of the Lapdock for this device.

The wait shouldn’t be much longer with September 8^th right around the corner as its supposed release date. Who is going to be rushing out to get one of these bad boys? I’m a little sick of hearing about the Bionic at this point and moved on to the Hercules, but this sure is sexy live.

Motorola spokeswoman: Droid Bionic will launch with Verizon Wireless this summer

We have been reporting that the Droid Bionic might be scrapped and the Targa will be replacing it. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the Bionic was originally scheduled to launch in the second quarter, but Motorola pushed back the launch to add new features to the phone.

An unnamed spokeswoman from Motorola was quoted as saying:

“Based on compelling feedback since the show, we are incorporating several enhancements to make this an even better consumer experience.”

The show she is referring to is the Consumer Electronics Show from this past January.

It sounds as if the rumors we have been reporting are true if you read between the lines. In my opinion, “incorporating several enhancements” means they are changing phones. The one thing we learned from this interview is that they still plan on calling this future device the Droid Bionic. It is highly unlikely it will be the same phone shown in January, and will most likely resemble the Targa.

Verizon Wireless spring roadmap leaked, 4 LTE phones to be released in May

The first question everyone asks after leaks or new phone announcements is, “when is it going to be released?” We have had an idea of some upcoming phones on Verizon Wireless, but not the release dates. Today is a different story as Verizon’s upcoming spring roadmap has been leaked. It is full of Android phones and May will be a big 4G month. For starters, April shows the Samsung Charge (formerly the Stealth) on April 7 and the HTC Incredible 2 on April 28. We already knew about the Sony Xperia PLAY for April 14. May will be the month of 4G as we will have the releases of the LG Revolution, Motorola Bionic, Motorola Droid X2, and Samsung Galaxy 2.

It is also interesting that the Droid X2 is listed as 4G. All leaks pointed to this phone being a 3G phone which makes more sense. Why put two 4G phones out with high end specs at the same time from the same manufacturer? It makes more sense if the X2 were 3G since there will be many people not in 4G areas or who do not want to pay extra for the 4G service.

Also to note, Verizon’s first Windows Phone 7, the HTC Trophy, will be released on April 15.

Well folks, the masses are departing, and CES has come to an end. It’s been a long and crazy week, packed full with a ton of great Android news. From Motorola to NVIDIA, Verizon to LG, there were companies everywhere announcing some great stuff all week. Don’t feel bad if you’ve had a hard time keeping up, because it’s been a bit rough on us, too.
