Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 series of tablets now available nationwide

In case you’ve forgotten— the latest additions to the Samsung Galaxy Tab family are officially here with the arrival of the full Galaxy Tab 3 series of tablets. While each tablet model bears an uncanny resemblance to the Galaxy S 4 per se, the new tablets come in 7-inch, 8-inch and 10.1-inch varieties— allowing for topnotch flexibility for a wide range of customers by including items such as a built-in IR blaster and expandable memory up to 64GB for each model. Oh and Sammy went ahead and tossed in some nice goodies for added measure:

“In addition, each of the devices in the Galaxy Tab 3 family comes with added value through pre-loaded content and Galaxy Perks available at Specifically, hundreds of dollars’ worth of content, including a $10 voucher for the purchase of apps, books, movies and music in Google Play; one year of free access to the Boingo Wi-Fi network in North America, including more than 35,000 hotspots in the United States, Canada and Mexico; three months free Hulu Plus service; and two years free Dropbox Service with 50GB storage space.”

Don’t think all of the cool content will cost you a pretty penny either. Samsung is offering some pretty competitive pricing too as the tablets are priced at $199, $299 and $399, respectively, so the Korean giant is placing a bet that all that nice content and freebies will be enough to woo in customers by the masses.

Retailer Adorama lists Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 for $199

Although Samsung has not announced official pricing for the upcoming line of Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 devices, one retailer has already listed the 7-inch version on their web site for $199.99. Adorama added an 8GB version of the Galaxy Tab 3 in white to their shopping cart system, indicating buyers won’t be charged until the item is shipped. However, they do not give any indication as to an expected shipping date. Considering the low price point, this is most likely the WiFi only version which Samsung indicated would be available starting in May. A 3G capable version is expected in June.

Some people are expecting Samsung to set price points for the Galaxy Tab 3 devices at increments of $100 as you move up in size from 7-inch to 8-inch to 10-inch. If true, that would put the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 at $399 for a base model.

Samsung reportedly prepping 7-inch and 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab 3 models

A new report suggests Samsung may be prepping a follow-up to last year’s Galaxy Tab 2 models to launch later this year. While we’ve already heard (and seen) a hefty amount of the upcoming Galaxy Note 8.0, rumors of successors to the company’s cheaper Tab line have been few and far between.

The Korean company is reportedly gearing up to release several tablet models, including the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 and the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0. The more robust 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab 3 is also slated to arrive later this year with LTE. There’s no word on a release date, though we’re bound to hear some news at MWC next month.
