As phones replace point-and-shoots as the camera of choice for most people, having apps that allow editing photos on the device becomes more important.  Aviary Photo Editor features one-touch enhancements, instagram-like filter effects, color balancing, crop and rotate, red-eye removal and a lot more.  The free app is available now on the Play Store, stay tuned for a full review but for now, hit the break to head on over and try it out yourself.

Baseball Superstars 2012 Brings HD Graphics, Updated Batting/Pitching Moves and Improved Gameplay

If any of you are avid Android gamers I am sure you are familiar with the game developer Gamevil. In case you aren’t familiar, Gamevil is responsible for bringing us uber popular game titles such as Cartoon Wars, Air Penguin and both the Soccer and Baseball Superstars series’. Just yesterday, Gamevil released their latest title in the Baseball Superstars series and this time it’s in HD. With a series that has already received over 30 million downloads you can expect the newest release to be better than the rest.

I think stepping up to the plate and releasing the game in HD was a wise move on Gamevil’s part. With the quality of displays we are seeing on devices these days, its a bummer when you download a new app or game and it can’t even utilize your device to its fullest potential. Good call Gamevil!

Other than improved gameplay and HD graphics, Baseball Superstars 2012 brings other additional features such as:

Brother in Arms 2 Fights its Way into the Android Market

The hugely successful Game maker, Gameloft, has finally brought one of their more well-know hits to the Android Market. Brothers in Arms 2 just landed in the market and is available as a fermium game – free to download, but includes in-app purchases.

BIA2 is a first person shooter and is a WWII based game offering both single player story mode and online multiplayer for going to battle with friends. Throughout the game you build up and customize your weapons as well as unlock new era-similar ones, all the while gaining experience as you play. Speaking of gaining experience, you can use the in-app purchases to aid your progression, giving you the upper hand in battle.

Unfortunately BIA2 is not compatible with the DROID RAZR so I was unable to give it a test run. To check it out for yourself, hit up one of the links below and be sure to let us know what you think!

Check out this ICS/Sense hybrid live wallpaper: Mood ICS

Here is another great live wallpaper for you that is subtle yet attractive. Mood ICS live wallpaper is a hybrid of both the ICS phase beam LW and the HTC Sense LW. Once installed, it transforms your home screen into continuous movement of glowing light orbs and you can change the wallpaper’s color within the app’s settings.

The app is available for free and includes 2 colors, or you can spend $1.19 for the pro version that includes 8. I guess if you are not a fan of blue or pinkish-purple, then you may want to spend the $1.19 for the pro version so you will have the option to chose almost any color. Also within the pro version is the ability to tweak the appearance to your liking, with features such as:

- Beautiful abstract mood colors
- Setting widget
- Custom Particle color
- Custom foreground color
- Custom background color
- 8 mood themes
- Particle settings
- Use 3D hardware to render images, save battery
- Support most resolutions including Android 3.0 tablet

The graphics are rendered with 3D hardware so this LW should be fairly easy on your battery, since I installed it on my device I have yet to notice any increased drain. The developer hasn’t done much testing on many devices so some may not be compatible. I suggest you give the free version a spin first and if it works properly then go for the paid.

I am usually one to switch up his wallpaper quite frequently but I have been rockin’ Mood ICS since I downloaded it, it’s a keeper. To see a few more screenshots and for download links jump past the break.
