HTC has released some excellent phones over the last year, but word on the street is they are planning to up the ante in early 2013. Several sources have begun mentioning a mysterious flagship phone with the code name of “M7″. According to the tipsters the M7 will come equipped with a 5-inch HD display (probably the same 1080p monster found on the Droid DNA), a Qualcomm APQ8064 quad-core processor, and a 13-megapixel camera, all wrapped in a high quality uni-body aluminum shell that HTC has become known for. The device is said to be slated for a Q1 release date, and HTC is currently working with parts suppliers to ensure a delivery of 4 to 5 million units. It sounds like HTC is working hard to turn around its falling financial numbers.
Remember when we told you about that one rumor? You know, the flagship Sony Ericsson phone packing a 1.5GHz dual-core punch rumor? Well it looks like we have some more details about the device. GSMArena is reporting they received a tip on information for the device. The phone— referred to as the SE Arc HD– is said to come with a 1280 x 720 (720p) screen and support full HD video recording. If you remember from Google’s announcement for the Galaxy Nexus, you’ll remember the Galaxy Nexus runs Ice Cream Sandwich with a native 720p resolution. If you put the pieces together, you can conclude (albeit prematurely) this new SE flagship will also carry Android 4.0. In addition, the phone will come with a noteworthy feature where users will have the ability to capture full resolution shots while recording video. Yes you read that correctly, there is the option to simultaneously take full resolution photos while capturing full 1080p videos! Sounds like SE is ready to take full advantage of ICS considering the sweet treat will have optimized camera settings and hardware acceleration.
We expect to see Sony make a formal announcement of this device in the coming weeks, especially with more and more information leaking out. We’ll certainly keep our eyes and ears open for more leaks.

A week ago we brought you some rumors about Sony Ericsson’s new flagship phone the Nozomi. Today we’ve got a few more spicy details to share with you on this device including a possible release date. Let’s get on with it.
The Nozomi is rumored to be packing a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (there are no memory card options), a 1750mAh battery, and a 720p (1280 x 720) resolution 4.3-inch screen. Just to get a barb in on Apple, this screen has a pixel density of 342 pixels per inch compared to the iPhone 4’s 326 PPI. It will also come with NFC, though I feel phones with these chips just can’t hit the market fast enough. The Nozomi is currently looking at a March 2012 release. That’s quite a ways away so you’ll have to put this all strictly in the rumor bin for now. One of our readers, Gregory Opera, has really sparked my interest in the Sony Ericsson phone arena. I’ll need to get my hands on one of their phones and judge for myself, but I really like what they are up to lately. Be watching for that soon.
