About a month ago some photos were found on Flickr taken from a Droid HD. We have more insight to this beast as photos are surfacing for what appears to be a Motorola phone that looks a lot like the Atrix and sports the AT&T logo. Supposedly the screen will be 720p (1280 x 720), the camera will be bumped up to 8MP, and it will record in 1080p. It looks to have HDMI out, a camera shutter button, and the fingerprint scanner has been removed.
The one thing that seems fishy is that if you look hard enough, you will notice a watermark on the photos that say, “Sony Ericsson.” We are thinking this is because the photos originally came from a Sony Ericsson forum, not to mention the watermark moves in each photo. The blog that first reported these did refer to this device as the DROID HD which we know could never be the name if it is an AT&T phone, but who knows, they might be planning a version for both AT&T and Verizon.
We also reported about another Moto device called the Dinara and one by HTC called the Vigor. Both are expected to have 720p screens as well. Don’t forget the Nexus Prime is also rumored to as well. I don’t know about you, but I am excited for these newer screens. I guess this time next year we will be talking about 1080p screens.
