Google has been a busy bee lately! Today, Google released an Android app for its daily deals site Google Offers, a Groupon competitor that aims to make it easy for Android users to discover, purchase, and redeem online coupons.

The Google Offers app has the same deals as the beta website and today’s deal was – $15 gets you $25 to spend at REI (I bought this one!). You just purchase the deal through the app and then flash your phone at the corresponding merchant to redeem it. The app will also remind you when your offer is about to expire.

You can also set up daily reminders, or subscriptions if you will, based on your location and you will receive daily announcements of killer deals. Sound good to you? Hit the market link or QR code below and go get your dealio on!

[Deal] UK carrier Three discounts Galaxy SII to “free”

by Stacy Bruce on
tagged , , ,

UK provider Three has recently lowered it’s prices on the uber popular Samsung Galaxy S II to “free”. In order to qualify for the discount you must sign a new two year contract with a minimum of £27 ($41.68) per month. The plan only gives you 500 anytime minutes, 5,000 text messages, and 1GB of data, which isn’t very much for you heavy users. If you’re anything like me, I personally would blow through that data cap in about a week. This plan appears to be geared more toward the occasional user, so be cautious not to accrue excessive overage fees. You can also opt for the £34 ($52.20) per month plan, which will upgrade your minutes to 2,000 and give you unlimited data.

On top of getting the phone for free, you will get 2 months free of Spotify premium, and you will have your choice of the black or white version. Hurry because this offer ends on September 30th. Hit the links below for details on each of the GSII versions offered during the sale.

AmazonWireless hit us up on “the Twitters” to point out that anyone who buys the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play — which just became available via their website today — will receive a $10 credit towards a purchase in the Amazon Appstore. Buyers will receive a promotional code via email that will be redeemable for 14 days, and the credit will then be valid until the end of the year — like any of you will wait that long to spend it! This offer is good until June 4th, so if you’re on the fence, maybe a few free games will help you pull the trigger.

by Robert Nazarian on

If you want a Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY and can wait a few extra days, then head over to Amazon Wireless. If you setting up a new account, you will only pay $99 with a 2-year contract. If you are upgrading your existing account, it will be $149.

You will have to wait 8 or 9 days because it is currently backordered. I would say these prices are well worth the wait.

Nexus S on sale for $100

by Andrew Greenfield on
tagged , , ,

For those of you considering whether or not to buy a Nexus S we’ve got information that may help sway you in one direction. Best Buy is offering the Nexus S for $100 with a T-Mobile contract. That’s half the price of what the Nexus S is usually sold for. The offer expires March 23rd, however I wouldn’t wait until the 22nd to go to a store. With a deal this good there’s a good chance they’ll sell out before that March 23rd date. For more information on the deal visit Best Buy’s website.

Free Gameloft Game – Hero of Sparta, Today Only

by Michael Murphy on
tagged , , ,

It’s no secret that Gameloft makes some of the best Android games you can get. Usually running $4-$6, Gameloft features a lot of HD games that both look great, and play well. You may remember that they gave away a copy of Dungeon Hunter HD earlier this month. Today’s offer is similarly great, only it’s more reminiscent of Spartacus than King Arthur. Today, and today only, you can get a free copy of Hero of Sparta from Gameloft. If you’ve played Dungeon Hunter, the gameplay will feel familiar — it’s a very similar style. If you haven’t played either, catch the trailer below, or just jump straight to the source link and start downloading! At a price of NOTHING, you can afford to take a risk. (Note: the game may change on you once you select your phone. If it does, just re-select the free game from the list of games toward the bottom of the screen, and begin your download.)
