Sony’s hype machine has been all about the Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 tablet as of late, but don’t forget about the Xperia T2 Ultra (D53XX). It appears close to release since we now have a shot of the retail packaging along with a few other candid shots. This model is destined for China Unicom and sports the model number of XM50h.
It will feature a 6-inch 720p IPS display, 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8928) processor, Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, 13MP rear camera, 1.1MP front camera, dual-SIM capability, and 3,000mAh battery. This might be mid-range, but it should last a long time on the battery.

Samsung is going to release a special version of the Galaxy Note II for China. In the picture above you see a Galaxy Note II with three slots, two of which are going to be for SIM cards and the other for a microSD.
Having dual SIM cards allows users to essentially have two phone lines in one phone and be able to monitor both lines at the same time. These phones are more popular in China and this phone could be headed to their Unicom network. The rest of the specs look to be the same, and impressive, with the 1280×720 Super AMOLED HD screen and Exynos 4412 processor. The special attention to the Chinese market shows that Samsung is trying to go big with the Galaxy Note II.

I don’t believe I could name very many people that do not like music. I could name a ton of friends that love music and couldn’t get through the work day without it, myself included. Having a great phone that give you a great musical experience is key. My Sprint Galaxy Nexus does me just fine for pouring sick beats into my ears throughout the workday. Well Motorola has taken the music lovers wants into consideration. At least those living in China.

As more and more Tegra 3-based devices become the norm, we will see more and more devices being launched. Chinese manufacturer Tianyu is no exception to this and has launched its K-Touch Treasure V8. Among the confirmed features in the device are the Tegra 3 processor, 4.3-inch screen and Ice Cream Sandwich. Rumor also has it that this mysterious device will feature an 8MP camera and will run on China’s Unicom WCDMA network as well. Further details are scarce at the moment, but hopefully more information will come out on this device which will likely be found within China only.
The Huawei Honor is a really nice mid-level phone available on China Unicom. It’s going to get that much better because Huawei and China Unicom just announced the Ice Cream Sandwich-powered Honor will be available by Valentine’s Day. Kudos to Huawei for getting this done faster than the likes of Motorola, HTC, and Samsung. I guess this can’t be a surprise since we wrote about the ICS demo build a little over a month ago. To refresh your memory, the specs of the Honor include:
- 4-inch (854 x 480) display
- 1.4GHz single-core processor
- 512MB of RAM
- 4GB of ROM
- 8MP rear camera
- 2MP front-facing camera
- microSD for up to an additional 32GB of storage
- 1900mAh battery.
