If this is any indication of the kind of trends we’re going to be seeing with mobile devices, count me way in. We’ve seen the implementation of this function with the release of the Chase Mobile App for Android a few months ago and now it looks like PayPal is jumping on board the “pic & deposit” game. iPhone users have had the functionality for some time and now it’s Android’s turn. Is there anything more convenient than taking a picture of the front and backside of a check and wallah, it’s in your account a couple of days later? In addition, you did it all from the comfort of your own home, fee free. It was only a matter of time until PayPal entered the mobile check capture scene, being that virtually most people interacting on the Internet today have a PayPal account. That, and there’s the fact that Android’s market share is still climbing rapidly. If you’re ready to stop doing the old drive thru thing for your deposits (for those too stubborn enough to actually get direct deposit) and you haven’t downloaded PayPal for mobile yet, then head on over to our apps database where you’ll find a QR Code available or hit up the Android Market for the download as well. Hit the break for more screenshots of the app. Read more
Earlier this week, we told you that a Chase Mobile Android app was headed our way. Well, we’re now happy to report that the app is now live on the Android Market and our App Database (link below), so if you’re a Chase customer with an Android device and have been dying for a dedicated mobile app, today is your luck day.
You can log in to your account, check your balance, find an ATM near you, and contact customer support. Also, you can deposit checks right from your phone, which is pretty cool to say the least. Android owners have been waiting for a while for this one, so enjoy!

Turns out that a teller at a Chase Bank location leaked out that the Chase Mobile App will be making its way to the Android Market in “early December”. This comes as great news to many Android owners who bank with Chase, as we’ve seen the nice features the Chase app is capable of on iOS.

“GET READY FOR NEW ANDROID APP!
A new Chase Mobile application will be available for users in early December! This new application will allow Android users to access accounts, pay bills, transfer funds, send wires, make mobile Quick Deposits and locate Chase Branches or ATMs. However, customers will not be able to make QuickPay payments with the new application at this time.”
The teller went on to say that the Android version should be a close replica of the design and interface as the iOS version such as “mobile check deposit”. Maybe this will help keep things in order after Black Friday.
