More Galaxy S IV case designs leak

We’re just one day away from being shown the most anticipated device of the year, but that’s definitely not going to slow the rumors down. Today, we’re getting an early look at some cases that may fit the S IV’s design shape. These cases look like they’d fit the latest leak we saw just yesterday, so this very well could be the final shape of Samsung’s newest superphone. The biggest difference from the S III is the LED flash placement and speaker placement; the LED flash has moved below the camera, and the speaker has moved to the bottom of the phone, similar to the Note II. Aside from that, USB and headphone jack placement are identical. (That’s great news if you’ve invested in a dock of any kind. The S IV should be compatible with at least some of them.)

With the popularity that is almost guaranteed to follow this phone, we should expect to see some great accessory support. These cases come in nearly every color you could want, and should hopefully be available around the phone’s actual release date. Are you excited yet?

by Roy Alugbue on

You remember how we showed you all a sneak peek of what Cruzerlite has in store for Nexus 4 smartphones? Well the famed smartphone case maker has followed up on its tease by unveiling a few set of Nexus 4 cases. The first set of cases are from its Bugdroid Circuit line which features a TPU material along with items like a laser-etched Bugdroid mascot on the back. The second set of cases are from its Clone Army line which also features some nice material surrounding the cases and a nice pattern of Androids taking up the back of the cases’ real estate.

Cruzerlite is certainly excited about both cases and has listed each for a reasonable $13 a pop— which is certainly welcome (and exciting) news. We know you Nexus 4 owners want more details, so go ahead and hit the source links below for more information. Go on… you know you want to.

CyanogenMod And Cruzerlite Team Up On Android Cases

by Rudy Rivapalacio on

One place where Android devices have always lagged behind iPhones has been in case and accessory selection. But as promised, by Dan Savage and countless other celebrity It Gets Better videos, it has gotten better. The success of  phones like the Galaxy SIII has made some accessory manufacturers develop Android specific lines. Today, Cruzerlite announced a limited edition CyanogenMod case for three of Samsung’s biggest Android Phones. The TPU cases are black and features, Cid, the CyanogenMod mascot who has definitely grown on me since they made the change back in April. Cruzerlite is taking pre-orders from now until early December and offering 20% off.

Official Nexus 7 Cover Now Available in the Google Play Store

by Stacy Bruce on
tagged , , , ,

We’ve been keeping an eye out for the official Nexus 7 cover to become available in the Google Play store and today they finally landed. Only available in dark grey, a new case for your N7 is going to set you back just over $30 depending on your local tax. This includes $19.99 for the unit, $9.99 for 2-day shipping, and a few bucks for uncle Sam. It seems a little pricey after all is said and done but it could very well be worth it to have some custom fitting protection. We will get ours in a few days so stay tuned for some feedback. Heck, if a few of you are interested, I could even throw a quick video together showing you how it looks/works on the tablet. In the meantime, if you already know you want one, hit up the source link below.

Hands on with Tech21 Impactology Cases and the orange goop that makes them so tough

by Robert Nazarian on
tagged , ,

I have to be honest folks. I never use cases on my any of my phones or tablets. It’s not that I never drop them, I just hate the bulk so I take my chances. I do have to say that after seeing this demo with Tech21, this is the case for me. It simply is the toughest case around. I actually met with them last night at CTIA, but it was so loud that I decided to set up a private meeting this morning so I could get a proper demo. These cases are the only ones in the world that have impact fabric in them. What is that impact fabric? It’s an orange goop-like substance that’s called D3O. It’s a little bit like Play Doh, but a lot tougher. Trust me. You will see CEO Jason Roberts try to injure his finger with a mallet. Will D30 protect him?

Check out the hands on after the break.

Official HTC One X Case In the Flesh

by Stacy Bruce on
tagged , ,

Yesterday we told you about a couple of HTC One X cases that were being made by HTC themselves. At the time, we only had an image of one of the cases as it was displayed on a screen during yesterday’s HTC event in Seattle. Luckily for us, our friends at Engadget got an exclusive sneak peak at the second perforated case (the one we hadn’t seen yet) for the One X.

There is nothing like a case that is made by the phone’s manufacturer, that is for sure. The fit and finish is almost always better than any aftermarket case and who would know how to protect device better than its maker? It is still believed that these cases will launch alongside AT&T’s One X on May 6th. To see a couple more images of this upcoming case, go ahead and jump past the break.  » Read the rest

HTC Reveals One of Two Official Case Designs for the HTC One X

by Stacy Bruce on
tagged , ,

Worried about scratching your new, or soon to be new, HTC One X? Then you need to check out this new case designed exclusively by HTC, for the HTC One X. What you see in the image above is an upcoming perforated case for the device that will be available in four colors as it was shown off today at an HTC hosted event in Seattle. Event attendees are reporting that this is only one of two designs that HTC has created for the phone, and it is believed that they should be available around the time AT&T launches their One X. No word on price or what the other design will look like, so I guess we will just have to wait until these fancy kit covers are released.
