LG Optimus LTE Coming To Bell As The “LG Eye” (Video)

LG continues to aim to be a top contender in the mobile arena with their recently unveiled LG Optimus LTE. Only this time around the device is making its way to Bell as the “LG Eye”. Check out our recent post revealing some “eye” candy videos of a demo by LG themselves. The device is impressive all around sporting Gingerbread 2.3 and a 4.5inch “True HD IPS” display with resolutions beating out the iPhone (1280 x 720) or 329 pixels per inch. In addition, the handset sports a 1.5 GHz dual-core CPU, an 8 meg camera capable of capturing 1080p HD videos, a whopping 1830 mAH battery and comes in at 10.4 mm thin. And of course, the device comes with LTE radios on board, hitting “theoretical” speeds of up to 100 mb/s.

The Source, a Bell-owned retailer has released a video showing off some of the features of the device and could possibly launch some time in November on Bell’s network. Canadian Nexus Device Shows Up In WiFi Alliance Database

Canadian smartphone users have a reason to get excited for some Ice Cream Sandwich goodness as a Samsung GT-I9250M has turned up in the WiFi Alliance Database. The M in the model number means this version is on the road to Canada, but we have no idea what this device will be called. Actually, the fact that it will have WiFi is all we know, but at least Canadian users can get excited for the Oct. 19th event knowing a new Nexus device should be hitting them soon as well. Stay tuned.

HTC Amaze (Ruby) “coming soon” to Telus

Not only is the HTC Amaze going to be available here in the states on Oct. 12th, it will soon land in Canada as well. Telus has just listed the high-end phone as “coming soon” on the Canadian carrier’s website. If you will recall, the Amaze was being called the “Ruby” for a while and has some pretty gem-like specs to boot. Adorning a qHD Super LCD powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor running Android 2.3.4. and HTC Sense. There is an 8MP camera with smile detection and dedicated camera and camcorder buttons on the side. The Amaze will come with NFC capability and will allow users to make mobile payments in the near future. A very feature-packed phone, we suspect it will be a major success.

This is going to be a great Android phone so be sure to check it out in the coming weeks.

HTC Holiday (aka Raider 4G) Hitting Canada This Year

The HTC Holiday, also going by the name Raider 4G, should defiantly be coming to Canada before the end of 2011. The Raider could be hitting both Bell Mobility and Rogers and it’s unknown if either will have this device as an exclusive. Reports say the Raider could hit Canada as early as November, so be on the lookout for any news right here. Anyone looking to grab this 4G powerhouse rocking a 1.5GHz dual-core and a 4.5-inch screen?

Among these regions, Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto can now join the ranks of those experiencing the blazing fast speeds of LTE. And up until now, the only device available for the service was the Sierra Wireless AirCard 754S. Well, all of that is about to change. Canada can now enjoy HD “Movies on Android Market”

Earlier in May at the Google IO conference Google announced a steaming movie rental service for Android phones dubbed “Movies on Android Market.” Android users in the U.S. have been enjoying the luxury of watching HD movies on their mobile devices while Canadians could only wait patiently until the service would become available north of the border. The wait is finally over, yesterday Google announced that the HD rental option would now be available in Canada and will even include many Canadian titles.

To make a rental purchase just head to the Android Market and choose your title from under the movies section. Most range from #3.99 – $4.99. Once a purchase is made Google allows a 30-day a “Rental Grant Period” in which you have until the 30th day to watch your video. After you initially press play you will have only 48 hours to finish watching your movie. To enjoy HD movies on your Android phone or tablet your device must run on OS 2.2 or higher.

Canada’s Bell Mobility To Launch A White Galaxy S II Before The Holidays

We don’t have much information other than the screenshots above and below after the break, but the release date is supposed to be “way before” the holiday shopping rush. Google Movies Confirmed On Canadian Carrier Bell Mobility

Canadians are finally getting access to Google Movies in the Android Market according to reports from customers using the Canadian carrier Bell Mobility. Presently, the app is not visible to customers of Roger’s Wireless, Bell’s direct competitor. Rumors are being confirmed however that the Android Market 3.1.5 update will fill in those gaps and bring everyone some much deserved movie love.
