“Weave Your Way Through Traffic At Insane Speeds” With Lane Splitter For Android (Video)
on
tagged Android, applications, apps, bike, games, lane splitter, motorcycle, racing
When writing reviews about anything on Talk Android I always try my best to sound somewhat intelligent and as knowledgeable as possible in what I’m covering. To do that I try to use technical and detailed terminology. However, when playing Lane Splitter for Android, all I could muster up was “fricking awesome”. I’m not sure if it was the dual core CPU on my T-Mobile G2X or what, but game play was smooth and steady during testing. This game is extremely fun and will have you reaching for it every free second you get.
As Jake Melton, a sport bike rider in a tux, you’ll have to do your best to avoid wrecking in an attempt to make it to your wedding on time and in one piece. Long press the screen or just quickly tap to snag a boost and wheelie forward in rapid speed bypassing crazy drivers just inching to plow you into the wall. The game is both fast paced and extremely addicting. I dare you to try it! Head on over to the Android Market for the download and hit the break for more info from the developer. You can also check out some more screen shots and a quick demo for your viewing enjoyment. Let us know what you think in the comments below. » Read the rest
Android Market Tops Just Over 250,000 Apps!
on
tagged 000, 250, 250 thousand, Android Market, app store, applications, apps, rim
The Android OS continues to perform, now touting just over 250,000 applications to make its way to the Android Market. In conjunction with Google’s recent announcement of the Android Market update, Susan Wojcicki, senior vice president of advertising stated the proud news during the company’s second-quarter earnings. In addition, Wojcicki stated that there were over 6 billion downloads. As a Google lover and Android fan-boy, I couldn’t be more prouder. Is that a word? Well, 6 billion downloads is great when comparing to other application platforms, such as RIM’s 1 billion, and considering the fact that it took no time at all for Google to reach this point only shows that the search giant means business. I’m highly looking forward to the day TA can announce that Android hit 10 billion downloads!

A Monster Ate My Homework, An Unsung Hero In The Android Market (Video)
on
tagged a monster ate my homework, Android, applications, apps, games
I’ve recently come across one of the most addicting games, in my opinion, hiding out on the Android Market. As I was playing, I was wondering why I haven’t heard of the game before? I’ve recently learned that the game is also available for the iPhone and was a great hit but I’m still not sure how long it’s been out. Nevertheless, since I’ve downloaded it I haven’t been able to put it down. A Monster Ate My Homework for Android is, without a doubt, a game to keep you busy for quite some time. How do you play? The idea of the game is to reclaim stolen homework from your perpetual homework stealing monsters by pelting them with balls, subsequently knocking them off the platform. But be aware, if you accidentally knock your homework off or anything labeled with a star indicating it belongs in the classroom, you’ll be repeating the board.
The game offers 85 different levels and for a small price in the Android Market you can use in app purchasing to get tokens that will allow you to skip difficult levels. Clear the platform of everything but your homework and you’re free to move on. The levels can get quite challenging as monsters and other objects along with your homework are arranged in challenging positions. Call it a monster Jenga, if you will. Ready to be addicted to this one? Head on over to the Android Market for the download and hit the break to check out some screenshots and a video of the game in action. In addition, feel free to let us know what you think in the comments below. » Read the rest
