Falcon Pro (For Twitter) Review [Video]

I always find myself looking for new Twitter apps, there’s so many to try in the Google Play Store that it can be overwhelming in choosing one for yourself. For the past two years, Plume (previously known as Touiteur) has been my favorite and has yet to be dethroned…. Until now. Falcon Pro has only been out for a couple of months, but it has quickly taken its place as my favorite Twitter client for Android. Made by Joaquim Vergès, who is also in charge of the Falcon Widget app, Falcon Pro provides the smoothest and nicest looking UI out there. The fluidity of the app is probably the first thing you’ll notice upon opening it up for the first time. If you’ve been familiar with the Falcon Widget app, then you know he doesn’t spare any expense on quality and smoothness.

While there’s still plenty of other features that are currently missing that you may want such as multi-user support, keep in mind that it is relatively new and the developer is still implementing more features upon each update. Most recently he just added in a white theme to go along with the dark default one. I truly feel this app has yet to hit it’s stride and it’s popularity should only grow upon each update. The app is only $0.99 on the Google Play Store, which is much cheaper than other premium quality Twitter clients that are available. Check out the video review after the break! Looks good, but personally I like Tweetdeck. Might switch though since tweetdeck never gets updates anymore.

This is my favourite twitter client. By far the best thing about it is that as a widget I usually have it open on my tablet and I don’t have to wait to load a separate app to read my tweets. The only thing I wish you can do is to set it to open all links in a specific browser. Some of the sites I use don’t render properly in the app’s own browser.
