If you’ve followed our coverage of Mobile World Congress 2015, you’ve probably noticed that HTC has released its latest flagship smartphone, the One M9. As you would expect, the M9 features the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM and BoomSound speakers on the front of the device along with a refinement of the all-metal body. If you would like the chance to win a HTC One M9 before they even go on sale to the public, HTC are holding a SweepStakes promotion to do just that. We have the link after the break.
With over 50 million users, Lookout has always been the leader when it comes to protecting our smartphones and tablets. The app has always been free, but if you want the ultimate protection, than look no further than a Lookout Premium Subscription. With Lookout Premium, you don’t have to worry about losing your data in the event that you lose your phone or tablet since it will automatically backup the important things like photos and call history. What happens if a thief steals your phone? You know they will try to remove the SIM card or enable Airplane Mode so you can’t track the device. Lookout will alert you of such actions and capture the last known location. This stuff is only the tip of the iceberg. How many apps do you think you have installed on your device that can track your personal information? Lookout can tell you instantly. Let’s not forget safe Web surfing and the ability to remotely lock or wipe your device.
Did you enter the Motorola and Yo contest to win a Moto 360? If you did, you might have thought you won the coveted watch, but ended up in disappointment.
Today at 3:00pm CST, as planned, All contest participants received a link through the Yo app. Most people thought that if you were one of the first 20 people to click the link, you won a Moto 360. The only problem was that you actually had to fill out a form in order to complete the task at hand. Actually that wasn’t the only problem. The other problem, and actually a bigger one, was that it clearly stated at the top of the form, “Yo! You won a Moto 360!” Obviously that wasn’t the case. As stated in the rules, the first 20 people to complete the form would win the almost-full circle smartwatch.
It’s hard to believe that Google I/O is only a couple of weeks away. The conference itself is always a exciting, but you can’t forget the parties. If delicious food, unlimited drinks, great entertainment and cool giveaways from Lookout and T-Mobile sounds like fun to you, then you will want to enter this contest right now. We have 10 tickets (plus one guest) to give away and the details are as follows:
We have held a number of contests with Poweramp in the past, but this one is by far the biggest. Poweramp is celebrating build 555 by giving away 5 premier smartphones during a 5 day contest with their 5 favorite Android blogs. The phones up for grabs include the Samsung Galaxy S 5, HTC One (M8), LG G2, Nexus 5, and Samsung Galaxy Note 3. An amazing group indeed.
Here’a how it works. All you have to do is comment at the bottom of this post telling us what your first Android phone was (or is)? You will have until Friday, May 2, at 11:59PM PST to get your entry in. Once the contest is over, we will select one random winner and submit it to Poweramp. The other four sites will do the same, and Poweramp, in association with Negri Electronics, will hold a random drawing for each phone. We will let our winner know which phone they have won next Monday, May 5, which is when Poweramp version 555 will be released. Be sure that your account has a working email address because that is how we are going to contact you.
The Moto X $150 promo ended on Monday, and I know a lot of you weren’t able to snag one. Thankfully our own Jack Holt was able to snag one, and we are giving it away to one of our lucky readers. This coupon code is good for a $150 discount on the Moto X off contract price. That would bring your total to $349 for the 16GB model or $399 for the 32GB model.
All you have to do is comment below telling us what you want for the holidays other than a Moto X. You have until tomorrow, December 12 at 11:59pm EST to get your entry in. On December 13, we will pick one random winner and email them the code, so be sure you are using a real email address for your account. The code expires on Monday, December 16 at 11:59pm EST. Good Luck!!!
Update: And the winners is Eric Moyer. Congratulations!! We are sending your code to the email associated with your account.
The “Exploded Andy” t-shirt will always be a fan favorite, but it’s time for the next installment. Earlier, we revealed “Andy Inside” as the sequel, and it’s a dandy. You can order yours today for $17, but you can also enter our contest for a chance to win one. Deon Briggs was gracious enough to provide five shirts for our awesome readers.
To enter, all you have to do is head over to our forum post and tell us what phone you’re currently using. You must be a U.S. resident and you have until Thursday, August 22 at 11:59PM EST time to enter. On Friday, we will pick five random winners. Be sure to use a real email address because that is how we will contact you. Good luck!!
And the winners are……
Recently, Electronic Arts launched The Simpsons: Tapped Out game in the Amazon Appstore, and they skinned a few Kindle Fires to celebrate. We happen to have one of them thanks to Electronic Arts, and we are giving it away to one of our lucky readers. It’s the 7-incher with 8GB of internal storage.
All you have to do is comment below telling us who your favorite character on the show is. It couldn’t be any easier. You have until Monday, July 8th at 12:00pm EST. We will then select one winner at random. Just make sure the email address in your account is a real one because that is how we are going to contact you.
BTW, if you’re not familiar with The Simpsons: Tapped Out game, you need to check it out. It’s actually one of Jack Holt’s favorite games. The game’s premise is that Homer accidentally caused a meltdown wiping out Springfield. It’s a city building game, and you guessed it, you need to help rebuild Springfield. It’s a free download in the Amazon Appstore or the Google Play Store.
We have a couple of more images after the break.
MyBackup Pro continues to be one of our favorite apps for backing up precious data. It’s simple enough for the casual user and powerful enough for those that love to change ROMs often. Recently, Rerware updated MyBackup Pro with the new “Migrate” feature that allows you to transfer your data from one device to another if it’s on the same WiFi network. My Backup Pro normally costs $4.99, which is a steal when you consider everything it does. Just check out our hands on review to see.
When the folks at Rerware came to us and said they would like to give a free copy to twenty of our lucky readers, are we going to complain? Hell no, so here’s your chance to grab a Free copy for yourself. We are going to keep this one very simple. Just comment below telling us which phone you are using right now. What could be simpler? You have until Wednesday at 12:00pm EST. We will then pick twenty random winners and announce them here. Just make sure that you are using a real email address because that is how we are going to contact you.
Hit the break for a hands on video showing you how the new “Migrate” function works as well as a funny commercial spot.
