Found this coverage check map on the T-Mobile website, could be useful to see just how far the coveage spreads for certain areas.

Thankfully, it seems T-Mobile are planning a fairly aggressive rollout for the 3G over the coming months too.

I'm in Huntsville, AL and 3G is NOT on the list that I've seen. Closest is Birmingham, AL. Strange that Huntsville wouldn't get it (technologically advanced city). Regular T-Mobile coverage is great. I have a T-Mobile Dash and use it on the EDGE network. It can be fast, it can be very slow....don't know if I should go ahead and get this product or wait until 3G service finally is rolled in by T-Mobile.

IS this really 3g? It seems like just coverage in general.

Below the map, tick the box for 'display data coverage'

That should reload the map locations

How well do 3G phones work where there is not 3G coverage. We have 3G under ATT here not TMobile so I am wondering if I should just quit TMobile and get IPhone. I live in Fort Smith ARK and it may be long time before 3G from TMobile comes out. Any suggestions?

I'm wondering this same thing... Is it worth getting the G1 if I don't have 3G in my area?

I'm also in Huntsville, AL, and the girl at the T-Mobile store told me we're supposed to be getting 3G around mid-November. I don't know how accurate that is, but hopefully it's true. She said it was supposed to be out earlier but there was some sort of conflict with the Arsenal, whatever that means.

We don't have 3g in my area, but when I was playing around with the phone in the T-Mobile store, it was definitely way faster than my BB Pearl internet was.
