If you've been on the phone bugging the guys at T-Mobile, you might be interested in this internal email that's been sent out to employees.

Apparently you're not gonna get any info out of them in regards to Android until the 23rd - until then it doesn't exist

Update on Android Launch

Several Web sites and trade blogs are reporting incorrect information regarding the launch of a T-Mobile device operating on Google's Android platform. One site falsely states the device is available for presale beginning September 17.

T-Mobile has stated publicly that we expect to have an Android device available for customers by the Holiday season. An official announcement is scheduled for September 23 in New York City. Detailed information about the product and its availability to customers will be available then.

Given the large expectations for this launch in the marketplace, there may be many more rumors and speculations occurring in the next few weeks. Follow your normal escalation path for any additional rumors you may hear.

Action Steps

• Let customers know information announcing pre-sale, launch dates or details of a T-Mobile device running on the android platform is speculation only.
  
• Inform customers that more information on the device will be available on September 23.

I hope we see a release date in October and not an 'end of the year' type prediction.

Pretty standard policy for new model launches im sure.

Gotta feel sorry for the guys working the call though, must be pretty frustrating for them. Hopefully tomorrow's event will give us all the information we need.
