Roaming from UK to EU

I am going to Belgium overnight on sunday and I am trying to decide whether to take my G1 or to chuck the sim in my old phone to be safe.
My worry is that because the G1 goes online alot that I will run up a huge bill while im there.
I would like to use the phone to try out some of the cool functions like wikitude, but I dont really want to get home and find a £100 bill waiting for me.

I did talk to T-Mobile but I got someone in a foreign call center who just seemed confused.

I can't advise you from any personal experiences of traveling with the G1, but if i were you i'd look into getting a pre-paid card for your trip - just to be on the safe side.

I'm not so sure i'd trust it really, especially with the potential for overseas roaming costs etc:
