I got my G1 last week, when i check the build version it says :

kila_uk-user 1.0 TC5-RC8 116470 OTA-REL-KEYS,RELEASE-KEYS

IS THIS A REALLY OLD UPDATE??

IM IN THE UK, SO WHAT UPDATE SHOULD I BE ONE?

AND IF IT IS A OLD ONE, WHY HAVE I NOT HAD A NEW ONE OTA??

RC6 is the latest version in UK it is the same as RC30 in USA as far as I know

Oh right, the issue i have is that i want to install applications to the SD card, but i dont have the option in the menu to USE the SD for this anymore?

My mistake, RC8 is the latest one.
In my G1 all app are installing at phone storage and I don't know can we change it at all :/
