T-Mobile G1 a flop already?

I love how they call Spore a flop because it only scored 7.7 out of 10 on GameSpot. 7.7 is a C+, that's just above average. You'd think a flop would have to score a 4 or lower. Nope, apparently average is now loserdom.

Blu-Ray won the format war, and managed to be a flop? That's some interesting logic.

The main thing that is wrong with the CNN review (I read it too) is that they think (google, HTC, and T-mobile) released the G-1 to be an iphone killer. It wasnt meant to be. It was however meant to show out the new Android OS (that other phones will soon be using too), googles smooth flow (I love how my phone and online account/ laptop communicate). And most of all, allowing anyone who knows how to program, to give it a try (yes some suck, some arent that bad, and some are pretty awesome). CNN must be getting kick backs from Apple for the dogging.... I love my G-1, and everyone I show (as others have stated) cant wait to get out of their contracts with... Verizon, Att, Sprint... to get one. Just remember, your opinion matters, not anyone elses... even if it is "the most trusted news source".(CNN)

CNN please......... this is the best phone I ever had! yes the g1, and I have had some phones. palm treo 7oo palm os version, blackberry 7100. Just to name a few in the pda / smartphone category!

My G1/Dream had battery issues and I sent the first one back I got a replacement from Rogers and it was worse than the first. Now I have no phone Rogers the @#$@$#@$ are charging me for a @#$@#@$@ phone. I would give the G1/Dream a f-- and .0000000001 from a scale from 1 to 10. Dream is the worst pieces of @$#@$@ smart phone ever put on the market. HTC recall these abominations. When I get this issue resolved I am getting a Blackberry, HTC can't even get Linux Support right as there is none. To use a HTC dream you need Windows it doesn't work with Linux or OS-X way to go HTC. Google drop HTC they suck.

That's an issue with Rogers NOT the phone. Chances are that Rogers, like most Networks will hand out refurb phones as exchanges unless you demand a brand new phone. And even if it was, just because you had issues doesn't mean the phone is no good.

That would be a scale of 0-10 since 0.0000000001 is less than 1.

You obviously did extensive research on this one! I have no problems using any function on XP, Vista, Ubuntu, openSuse or OS X. I guess it must just be you.

I personally have never had an issue with a HTC device and I've owned a lot. As have my friends and my wife.
