I'm actually surprised to only see two treads in the Verizon section with so much recent talk pertaining to the upcoming Android devices. I'm glad that so many new (and respectable) devices are coming to my favorite carrier. Though with all the new hype, I am confused on actually how many Android devices are coming out and what makes them different. I know the Motorola Droid is the most popular. Though recent rumors point out two other CDMA Androids in the near future. Any specs or estimated release dates? Any other threads/forums I can check out while I wait?

There is the HTC Desire/Eris that is supposed to be coming out the same day as the Motorola Droid and selling for $99 I also heard of another Motorola Android phone coming out that is supposed to be lower end to the droid.

I'm pretty sure the 2nd Android Motorola Phone is currently named the "Calgary".

I agree, but I think that since the Android Operating System is relatively new, especially to Verizon, there will be some slow growth. But, if the Droid, and subsequent Android devices really catch on with the consumers, this site could one day be as big as Crackberry.com!

True! But I see a lot of people that are viewing the posts, but not a lot of people replying.

Yeah,

Some people could just be a little shy.....or whatever.

Speaking of Crackberry.com, (I'm sure you've been on it) There are many people talking about ditching the Storm 2 and getting the Droid.

Welcome to the forum. I haven't seen this much excitement for a new smartphone in awhile.

That makes two of us! I have sent my Storm 2 back today via FedEx 2nd day air. Will be all set for my New Every Two upgrade for Friday's release. I have noticed in other forums, that others are going to go with the HTC Eris for their first Android phone because of price? I am not sure that is a good idea? Maybe it is, but I have heard there has been roller ball issues with the HTC phones.
