White G1 is back online

I check almost every day for the illusive white G1 and low and behold when I checked today there it was. I called T-mobile to see if I can swap mine and of course I am 2-days out of my window, that sucks . Oh well white would have probably gotten dirty faster and I already have all my apps and everything on mine, well thats what I tell myself any way *sigh*.

Mine is black, I dont mind it that much it reminds me of a flat black hot rod, so its pretty cool but the white matches my computer and iPod but oh well, what can you do. Does the white one have the same rubberized feel to it? I know sometimes different colors have different textures to them.

the back cover piece is rubberized but the front is plastic. i was gonna get the black one for its "spy-ish" and very low profile look, but i went with white so i can be different, i guess.

I got white but I think I prefer the black one.
The white one does look good but the characters on the keys are quite difficult to make out as they are light on a silver background.

Black one is probably easier to type on, but like Nosferatuia said, the white one matches my macbook !

Never had a white phone and wasn't too impressed with the finish on the black.

In hindsight the keys are a pain sometimes as noted above, but i guess that's the risk you take when ordering online without having played with the phone first.

I started off with the white one, and like most people had a bad time trying to read the keyboard under incandescent lighting. It got so bad I had to return it to T-Mobile who replaced it with the black model.

I dont mind the glossy look on the black phone, I dont mind the rubberized battery cover either. I personally think the black one even looks better than the white.

like everyone else, the white one i own is extremely hard to type on under certain lighting but i just turn off the keyboard backlight.

I can live with my white one.
Just went & had a look at the black in the tmobile shop in town on my lunch, I like the keys better but the phone itself looks cheap & feels too rubbery. I maybe wouldnt mind the rubber feel if I hadnt got used to the my white one.

Either way, its still a great phone/goblin box.
