To Close, or Not to Close the Browser?

I am on my 2nd day of having my Samsung Droid. And its Great.

I have been reading all these useful tips an I was wondering...
(stupid question maybe )
How do you Close the Browser? I know I can push the Home button to go to the Main Screen, but that doesn't end the Browser it just "Minimizes" it. And I could spend a moment or two pressing the Back Button and back out of the Browser, but I would really love to find a way to Close it when I am finished using it.
I am also wondering does it really drain any battery just leaving it running? If not then finding a way to Close it is not needed, i guess.

You can't "close" any application, including the browser.

Which is good or bad depending on how you look at it, but open apps do drain the battery more.

I use Advanced Task Killer app which lets you "close" your apps, including the browser app you mentioned.

Most browsers -- in fact, a lot of apps -- can be closed by holding down on the back key for about a second and a half.
