My wife just got a Moment and I'm helping her. I have an HTC Hero, so I thought it would be almost the same, but not so. The HTC Sense must add more to the user interface than I expected. But I digress...

After dozens of attempts, I finally got POP email accounts added. The key thing missing was that the username defaulted to only what was before the @. I finally figured out I had to add the rest of the email address for a complete username. But I digress...

Now there are dozens of emails on the phone and I want to simply delete them all. On the Hero, I say DELETE, then MARK ALL and then DELETE. But I can't figure out how to delete all of them short of visiting each email and pressing DELETE on each one. Anybody know the shortcut?

And then I read in these forums, that it goes into Trash and stays there. On the Hero, it disappears from Trash after 24 hours or so. Not sure if it will do the same on Moment.

I've been researching the same issue and it turns out that you have to delete the email account from the phone to get the Trash folder to empty. Hopefully they will come out with a fix for this.

Yeah, I actually delete and recreate the email accounts every month or so to clean them up.

A pain to say the least.

This seems like a lot of work - too bad.

With the Android 2.1 you're able to delete emails by check mark and then hitting delete, at least if you have a yahoo acccount. Samsung needs to come up with a phone simular to the iphone, what are they waiting for?
