Samsung Galaxy usb problem

Hi

I just got a Samsung Galaxy phone and I'm trying to use USB. The device is visible by Windows , some files on the SD card are also present, but when I send some larger file than about 500kb Explorer freezes.

I also used adb to install applications and the situation is similar. I tested it on Linux - it's the same.

Had anybody such a problem?

Maybe I should update the firmware? I installed New PC Studio (from CD , and I tried also the newest one) but I can't update the phone, so I think I should Odin then.

My firmware is I7500XXIH9.

had the same problem, I stopped my anti-virus and it worked John

Just got a Galaxy from T-mobile and couldn't get any joy with the Samsung studio. There was a clue on Phandroid forum on what to do ...

(I'm on XP by the way)

1. DON'T INSTALL SAMSUNG STUDIO OR DRIVER

2. Plug in phone USB

3. 'usb connected' shows in phone notifcation bar (grey strip at top of phone'

4. Drag strip down to fill screen - you should see a "USB connected" message.

5. Click on that message - you get an option box

6. Click on 'Mount' and then you should be able to access the SD card from the PC.

but in my case,it is not showing usb connected....... Wht should i do ?

Have you tried using a different USB port? Might help!

I have the same problem, and it does not matter which USB port I try, regardless of computer. I am looking at XP laptops.

My Galaxy Ace S3870 just beeps, but there is no way to "turn on USB storage", at least from the settings or from the shortcut/top pull-down panel.

Help, anyone?

Don't you worry about the safty of you phone if you stop your anti-virus?
