ok, so i'm seriously thinking about getting myself a samsung galaxy for 417€ from germany. Its time that i replace my 4 year old, torn out SE k750i which is slowly falling to pieces. Thing is, there is few things that i'm slightly annoyed with:

· no FM radio. i wont have a 3g connection and i need this for news and some fresh music aswell.

· bad video recording. at the resolution of 352x288 video recording is pretty weak. and it seems that the colours from the digital camera isnt the best either, which is a big deal for me since i dont own a digital camera. on the plus side it seems to have geotagging in the pictures, which is a big plus for me and it seems to not be a problem in galaxy.

I dont know wether to buy this phone or wait for the next one... which could be forever since there is always something better waiting on the horizon. Rachael, if it will be able to take decent pictures, might do all that i need but it will be out next year propably and at that time my phone will be in atoms

What do you guys think i should do?

First off, where are you looking at getting it from via Germany? Not sure where you are based, but beware VAT if in the UK.

I haven't heard about the camera, but that doesn't sound good.

However, I am probably in the same boat, I really want to try an android handset but I need it to be high specced, since I use it as my camera, MP3 player, satnav, etc.

All the HTC's are not very good specwise, most lack a decent camera, none compare to my current Nokia 5800.

Tbh this looks like the only well specced phone coming out with Android on it. Perhaps the pictures will get better with software releases.

i was going to get it from handyattacke: http://www.handyattacke.de/handys/schwarz.htm

i think the video recording has to do with the software, while the image quality has to do with the lens. So no matter software enhancements, a decent lens is what gets the job done well.
