O2 UK To Offer Samsung Galaxy i7500 From August?

It appears that the Samsung i7500 could be launching across O2 in the UK from the end of this month/August.

The handset is apparently featured in the July edition of O2's mobile phone brochure, but whilst a specific date wasn't listed in the article, the customer service guys did confirm an August launch was on the cards.

Ohh boy, oh boy ! Can't wait anymore for this samsung. And I friggin hope they gonna sell it SIM free in carphone warehouse or somewhere else

Not sure about the GPS in Galaxy but I really hope it has got it. Anyways, I've seen it, so far, only in two websites. On Kingofgadgets.co.uk and play.com In both of them they are selling them for £499. Still CAN'T friggin wait for this one. Ohh and do you know if any retailers from high street will sell it on SIM free?! like phones4u and carphone warehouse?

Handtec has it for much less, around £350. I do wonder if it's worth preordering it, in case it goes up on release. You have obviously done a goodle shopping search like I did

I saw the other thread about getting them from Germany/France. Has anyone done this, or have any good site suggestions?

Obviously you could get stung by VAT, but if anyone knows....post please.

Taunton O2 store told me this morning that it won't be avialable till September.

I ordered mine from germany. It cost £412 including delivery. Shipped monday, got it wednesday.

There's not additional VAT or duty if you're in the EU and ordering from the EU. You just pay the normal VAT in the country you order from like a native buyer would.

Its supossed to be in O2 stores end of this week (13th or 14th). Dummy units are already there. Its a bit expensive on O2 tho :-/

Thanks Kam. Still put off by the camera, by all accounts it doesn't seem very good for a 5mp cam.

So much so, I have put a bid in for an Omnia HD. Really didn't want to go back to symbian, but....

Hmm i found it was ok actually. Its the stupid android limitation that limits the video recording. Also the flash triggers a fraction too early.

I think this phone needs a firmware update or two to get these niggling problems sorted.

The omnia HD doesnt look bad actually, but i just had to get into Android
