How do i get songs into nexus 1

HI all
does anyone know how i can get songs from cd into the nexus 1 to use as ringtones. i have connected to computer and sent to phone.
so when i look in the phone thro computer it says the are there but when i look into the phone itself as in music folder i can not find any songs albums etc.

To use mp3's as ringtones, when you connect your nexus one to your PC, create a folder called ringtones, put your mp3's in that. then you you are choosing ringtones, you'll see your mp3s will be available for use as ringtones
