Ringtones save to contacts but wont play

i cant get my contact ringtones to play. it plays when i save it the contact but then when that person calls it doesnt play HELP!!! i tried downloading ringdroid and it dod the the same thing i went through their troubelshooting and it didnt help it wont play the ringdroid tunes or just the regular music! the default ringtone saves and plays but it just wont play the sepreate contact ringtones. WTF please help
