Turn off internet while using Magic abroad?

Hi,

I just got a Magic on Vodafone. I plan to travel abroad next month and wonder if it is possible to turn off all internet access on the phone so as to avoid internet roaming charges. I see this was not possible on the G1.

I was in spain a few weeks ago and I used a great app that allows you to turn off your apn

WiSyncPlus It also allows you to sync on your google stuff only on wifi. Theres another useful app for measuring your downloads daily so you can stay within a reasonable limit if you do need to use it.

alternatively, go:

Menu > Settings > Wireless > Mobile Networks > Data Roaming (on/off)
