I have just got myself an HTC Magic in UK - Branded Vodaphone - & want to change networks.

Do I presume that there are 'unlock' codes available or is there a small utility about on user forums which 'sim unlocks' these phones ?

Cheers

OK, solved. Its already unlocked 'out of the box'. I was amazed Vodaphone didnt protect their exclusive period by locking it.

I did read that you had to get the unlock code from Vodaphone but they are giving it out apparently to help with accessing different networks abroad.

I bought an unlocked HTC Magic (vodafone) and am on O2, only problem I have is the 3G doesn't want to work. (I live near a mast so definitely within coverage).
How hell you change the proper settings is beyond me...
