Yeah that was a huge incentive for me to get the PS3 over the 360 when it was released.
But it's crazy how much things fall in price. I remember it was much cheaper to get the PS3 than a standalone Blu-Ray player - i think they were as much ~£500 at the time.
I picked a Samsung BR player up at Christmas for my father for just £150 from Dabs.com - i had no idea they'd become so affordable

Probably not your scene, but I have been blown away by the Lego games
star wars, indiana jones and batman.
The graphics are cute and cuddly, but most of all the game play is addictive and awesome, just like games used to be back in the 80s (game play not graphics)
3d realistic graphics and physics engines are ok I guess, but my interest in that type of games fizzles out within a few hours. Personally, games that make me stop, think and use my brain to solve puzzles is what keeps me hooked in a game. But I guess I am old-school and remember the days where most games were based primarily on logical and lateral thinking.

I only have an Xbox 360 right now and I am mostly playing Fable II these days, I am thinking about getting Rise of the Argonauts, but I'm not sure about it yet. I have Mirror's Edge sitting right here but haven't had a chance to play it yet. I have no friends only family on my Xbox live friends list so if you want add me ha ha.

Is Fable 2 really good? I have it (flashed 360, woot!) but not played it yet.
Its my next "long" game when i finally finish Fallout 3.

Its very good, but I would have to say take your time and don't rush to the spire or to Hammer after the spire. It seems like the game is a lot shorter or easier to beat than the original, but everything else is better especially the dog . I would be sure and take your time and do as many of the quests that become available or else your game can end to soon and you miss out on some fun stuff. I am going slooooow the second time around to explore everything. Also, be sure and choose wisely at the end because it auto saves at the end, so you cant explore all of the different endings as easily as in Fable I.

I never played the first fable so I dont think the "easiness" or shortness will be a problem for me. I like to take my time with RPG's anyways so Im looking forward to taking it apart, bit by bit & seeing everything.
I love videogames where you have a pet, dogmeat in fallout 3 is awesome. I've read a lot about the dog in fable & can't wait to meet him
