Applications not using my Wifi on my G1

Hello gurus! Having a problem...

My internet at home is fast.

But for some reason, my G1 can get connect onto my wifi network (in setup), get an IP Address, but none of the applications use the wifi. I can't get on the market or use the browser.

All my applications time out saying that there is a network error.

I can use my laptop against the same wifi and surf the web without any problems.

I've unlocked my phone, and i'm using the phone on the AT&T, but that shouldn't be the issue....

Anyone have any ideas?

I occasionally run into a situation where the G1 loses wifi. I am at work with a laptop in wifi and have the G1 also in wifi. The laptop seldom loses the connection. I would imagine that the radio in the G1 and battery power is less powerful than some other devices. Try a full charge on the G1 while being very close to the wireless access point. You may want to try another wifi area to make sure it is not something specific to your gear or setup.
