I have discovered the delights of watching video on my phone while on the tube to work and it got me wondering what the best video player app is for the desire and what the best format is to convert the video into first?
I used AVS Video Converter to convert the video into .mp4 because I noticed there was a default setting for Android devices - older ones I'm guessing though, as the resolution was 480x320. I tried converting to a different default that was something like 838x480 (something like that), and although the sound played, the video didn't.
The highest resolution .mp4 conversion default that would play was a 720x480, but is that actually the best? I'm only running the built in player so I'm keen on hearing any recommendations from others.
