Hi to all.
I just want to know if I buy an Android phone with the actual 1.5, can I always upgrade it to the next major relase, like the 2.0? And the next X version?

I need a phone always upgradable to the last software version that I can use it for 2-3 years.

Are the android phones ready for this?
thanks

From what I know, the phones are upgradeable with android. The HTC Hero will apparently not be able to do firmware updates over the air like the GI (aka Dream) can do because of its different UI. I guess the true answer is that I'm not sure. With the new sense UI there may be problems with incompatibility in new versions.
