HTC Dream, T-Mobile G-1?

So it's been rumored for a long time now that the first Android powered handset will be the HTC Dream.

Now apparently it's official and will be called the T-Mobile G-1?? Does anyone have any official sources or information about this? Cos all i can find is more blogger conjecture and speculation??

Companies tend to reg a ton of extra domains around products, i remember back when Nintendo announced 'Wii' there was literally 100s of variations and ideas registered by them.

Hopefully we'll get an official announcement shortly.
