How in the heck do i change the text message tone? Pease help...

It depends on which messenging app you are using. If you are using the built-in one, all you need to do is open the Messages app, select, Menu, and then Settings. Scroll down to the bottom of the list and you should see Notifications and Select Sound. Make sure that there is a check mark next to Notifications and then click on Select Sound. In there you should be able to make your selection for sounds. Hope this helps.

I figured out how to change the tone but what if I want to have a ringtone that I downloaded as my notification tone... Is this possible?

I'm with you. I am wondering if it is possible to save the ringtones I've downloaded to the phone so that I can select them and not be stuck using the same tone as the notification ringtone.

I found a way to do it... Theres an app called Mabilo Ringtones and its all free, once you download the ringtone you can select set as and then do notification tone...
