Is there a 3rd party or any program available that syncs my contacts from Thunderbird or Outlook or any other Windows e-mail program/PIM to Android on HTC Hero?

I am quite happy to pay for this functionality.

Please don't suggest I go via GMail/Google Mail, I am adamantly NOT uploading all my personal contacts to Google just so I can have them on my mobile!

Thanks
Susan

Does anybody know when HTC might support syncing with linux? Maybe Thunderbird or something similar?

Does anybody know how to export your contacts and configuration information. The upgrade for the phone says it will wipe any data that is not on the SD card?

Anyhelp?

thanks
