Short Explanation:
Do any HTC Hero owners able to see events on Calendars that are Shared from Other users on there phone with the native Calendar app?
Long Explanation:
I purchased this phone last night and I am having trouble with the Calendar application. I am looking for some verification on if this is expected behavior or a problem with the phone/account.
The gmail account tied to the the HTC hero has 6 calendars created through gmail interface. The account itself has existed since 2005 or so and so the calendars date back to the introduction of Google calendar. There properties are this.
My Calendars
A-Home ( Account Calendar)
A-Work ( Shared from Work account Full Access)
A-Lab (Shared from Work account Full Access)
Other Calendars
B-Home (Shared from another account Write Access)
B-Work (Shared from another account Write Access)
A-Boss (Shared from Bosses account Read Access)
So 5 of the calendars are shared and only the A-Home is an account calendar. In gmail any calendar that you have permission to share with other people shows up as a My calendar in the interface and all others appear as Other Calendars.
I have found many people complaining that "Other Calendars" Do not appear on there HTC Hero, but I suspect that they just mean a blanket statement about shared calendars from other accounts. When searching last night I found a post on the Andriod Ticket System that HTC had developed its own Calendar application which is not native to Andriod. A CO-Worker owns a Andriod phone on Verizon's network that does not have this issue so I wanted to ask other Hero owners if they have this problem or if its a configuration issue on my phone.
