SMS threads do not display msgs in chronology

Hi Androidians,

I have a problem with my SMS thread. If I were to msg my friend, his reply will be shown as having arrived three minutes (or more.. depending on case by case basis) BEFORE my msg.

E.g If I were to text my fren at 11.46am, his reply to me will be reflected as 11.43am.

I have tried
a) using the automatic value inputs to my clock
b) I am running on GMT + 8 time zone.

Anyone has any idea of how to get the SMS threads to reflect the messages in chronological order?

This happens to my Hero as well, kind of annoying because you have to back search for their damn message. It doesn't do it all the time though and as well it doesn't do it to every message?
