Flash player advice

Hi,
Be gentle with me, I am new to the forum, new to the HTC Hero and new to technology in general.....
I love my new hero, but when I try and watch bbc i player it says i need to download the latest version of flash to watch anything. Then it goes into Adobe Flash player version 10.02.32.18 Linux .There is an option for changing to a different operating system which offers ...

windows vista/xp/2003/2000
windows 98/me
macintosh os x 10.4-10.6
macintosh os x 10.1-10.3
Linux
Solaris

then it asks which version to download, the choices are......

YUM for Linux
.tar.gz for Linux
.rpm for Linux
.deb for Ubuntu 8.04

when I try any of these it sends a message saying the content is not supported no application can be found to open the file and do I still want to download it?
What do I choose, any help gratefully received....

Ok, the best thing to do is go to the marketplace and download a app called "beebplayer" just search for that and you will be away, its a bbc iplayer app for android. and its free

Hello. Just picked up a new Droid from the Verizon store. What about if I wish to play flash on other web pages? Is there something that will integrate with the Android 2.0 browser to allow me to do this? Thanks for your help.

I don't think its for you dude, I think it for UK only. I could be wrong but BBC iPlayer is for the UK only.

Yeah ur right terry...must be a UK only thing...does anyone know of any app similar to beeb for the U.S. Sprint Hero??
