I called HTC today and spoke to a very helpful chap caller Olivier and told him about a few of the issues that I have with the Hero, namely not sounding individual ringtones and the screen locking during a call which prevents any use of the phone eg navigating an automated telephone service.
He was really understanding and said that he would welcome any feedback that he could pass to R&D with a view to keep improving the product and developing fixes etc. He agreed that the best way to develop fixes is to get good feedback from users.
If anyone else wants to partake in this programme then you shoulod go to
www.htc.com/uk, click 'support' and choose your product from the drop menu. Then on the left menu, expand 'customer service' and click 'support via email'. You'll then have a webform in which to submit your feedback.
If you need to know your serial number/IMEI you should go to your phone keypad and type *#06#.
I suggest that we all provide as much feedback for this phone as possible even duplicate our niggles as this might get them fixed sooner.
