Tell me why is blue tooth virtually crippled on an Android Hero
this I find worrying as its such a basic need that in my opinion should be part of the main software come on Google what's wrong ..?

I have heard that Hero's bluetooth is only for handsfree and not to communicate and transfer data from other devices. Is that true? If yes then HTC; do something please.

Is this why my wife can't bluetooth photos from her phone to mine and vice versa? If so, that's pants, I can pair with her phone but it won't connect.

Yes it is and the responsibility is all Google's the Blue tooth Routines are incomplete at this time and there is not an end date in sight so don't hold you breath unless you like the colour Blue..

Cheers Larry,

What's even more frustrating is that T-Mobile's Business Support clearly aren't aware of this because they thought that my phone was faulty and replaced it resulting in me having to spend hours setting the replacement phone up after I'd already done it on the first one!

I found this out quite quickly after recieving my Hero. I havent found any solution to being able to send data via BT.
It does however link to the car and transfer the phone book which is a blessing but it wont connect to my sat nav and transfer traffic data !

I await either an app from a clever programer or a new rom from HTC to solve this however im not holding my breath
