This turned out to be embarrassingly easy. If your downloading music from iTunes or similar you’ll get all your album art included and if you’re ripping a modern CD into your music folder your album art will probably get copied across with the MP3’s… But for those of you like me who have a load of old rock tracks in MP3 format but no album art to go with it here’s the process…
It’s not necessary to have album art but the hero supports it and it’s just nice to see it when you are playing tracks…
• Find one of the many album art websites from Google and search for the Album (or single) you want the cover art for.
• Once you have selected the cover save it in My Pictures.
• Use Windows Media Player as you’ll all have this.
• In the WMP library find an album (or track) who’s MP3’s you want to TAG with album art.
• Right click the individual song and select Advance Tag Editor.
• Select the Pictures Tab.
• Press the add button and select the picture you just downloaded from the album art website you visited.
• In the Picture Type drop down box (that might appear after you have selected a picture) select Cover (Front).
• Press Apply and then press Ok
• Simples
Now move the Album from your PC to you Micro SD memory card, insert the card into the phone and you have all your albums to play and all the associated album art to view while the track is playing…
