Closeing programs?

Greetings...

I've finally managed to get out of my old contract and got myself a Hero.
It's great, intuitive an does nearly everything you can think off.

But I'm a little stumped with a few things, the main one being closing apps.

When I run the browser, it always returns to the last page (as if it's running in the bkgd all the time.
I've tried taskiller, but it basically rebooted my phone.

Any tips, or should I just ignore the fact that stuff running and reboot every couple of days (or when ever I feel the need)?

I agree, it does seem to be flawed in that sense. I think the phone does run alot of shit in the background ie most things you open! I presume that you can stop some of the programs starting up when the phone boots up just havent found it yet. I dont need this twitter guff that seems to open itself without me doing anything.
