I am using Android Manager to sync my Outlook data. It is free on Market and has a PC companion app that lets you select data to sync and transfer over wifi with the phone.

but using wifi to sync drains battery, is there an app which you can connect your phone via USB and do the same functions, aside from the above mentioned.?

If you want a free, automatic way to synchronize contacts between your Outlook PCs and your Android devices (without installing any third party software or apps), do a Google search on "We can now synchronize Outlook & Android" to find my how-to guide.

I used to use MyPhoneExplorer but it only synchronizes 16 of Outlook's most commonly used fields, and it only does so manually, and only when you're on the same network as your PC. It does not synchronize fields like "Business2 phone", "Categories", etc, and if you're not careful, it can delete them from Outlook (as it did to my contacts).

I can recommend MyPhoneExplorer which is free and offers other functionality. Differences between the Android and Microsoft Outlook systems mean that you are always going to have obscure fields that are not sync'd. The good thing about MPE is that is leaves them alone.

If you're not careful, MyPhoneExplorer will overwrite your data and ruin your contacts database. That's what happened to me. This is a known issue, and other users have complained about it.

Try this (https://market.android.com/details?i...k.simple&hl=en), better than the $40 program (Missing Sync) I paid for. Missing Sync has some more functions (which I don't really have a use), but it does the basic stuffs (sync calendar and contacts) poorly.

Although the interface (of Local Sync) is... Uninspiring, but the functionality is fully functional.

It even has another utility (https://market.android.com/details?i...imple.autosync) to control when and what to sync.

Promising.
