Following on from yesterdays news that HTC's line-up of handsets for 2009 had been leaked, Tmonews speculated that the G2 was one of them.

Sapphire 2.0 is a fully touchscreen device which would ofcourse require an onscreen keyboard update from Android.

Please note that this hasn't been confirmed by HTC nor T-Mobile so at this moment in time it is all just speculation.

But what do you think about the Sapphire 2.0? Is it a worthy upgrade?

With the next Android update rumoured to be bringing onscreen keyboard support i think it's pretty much a given that the next Android phone will want to show that off with a purely touchscreen interface.

Here is a link for the new G2 Phone. It won't have the Querty keyboard, though. It looks like it will be completely touchscreen.
