Hello
I will appreciate any help
History goes like this;
I'm a blackberry user and I wanted to try the droid experience, I found a cheap used G1 and bought it. I began using it two days ago it had the 1.6 version. It worked good but had some small faults (screen) nothing really important. I simply loved the droid phone even when is an old one.
I tried upgrading to 2.2 in the process I searched for info on the net (don't ask about it I made so many things I don't remember anymore of everything I did) anyway the last thing I did was a recovery backup after this the phone rebooted but did not worked anymore I get the G1 splash the android splash and then a black screen and nothing more.
I tried DREAIMG.nbh it loads and I get this
DREAIMG.nbh
RADIO_VZ -
BOOTLOADER -
SPLASH1 -
SPLASH2 -
RECOVERY -
BOOT -
SYSTEM -
USERDATA -
Press power button
to start update image
Press action button
to cancel update image
Does not matter what I press it does nothing, I tried formating SD, downloading file from various places no result.
If I try a update I got the system recovery screen then (ALT+L)
and it shows
E:Can't open /chache/recovery/comand
when update (ALT+S) I get this;
-- Install from sdcard...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
Installation aborted.
I've noticed when phone is booting G1 splash is ok the android splash runs but it freezes for a few seconds at a time (reflection left to right stops running for a few seconds) then keeps going.
If I try a wipe (ALT+W) it does the wipe no errors reported but it only takes like two seconds so I think is not working (I did it before began using the phone and it took a little) when rebooted same thing.
I would love to be able to fix this G1 to use it until getting a new droid (I don't have the cash right now)
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
