there is no word processor for android yet. Or even a notepad. It will take a little while until it comes out. Adobe reader as well and there is no flash. It's a "new" OS.

this is excellent, i'm about to buy one (as another post says)... i didnt realise it supported a 16gb SD card... i thought i was only 8gb... then again i figured they'd change this in firmware updates.

My computer says that it cant recognize the USB connection from my G1 and my G1 wont show the mount option at all. It worked once but i dont know why its acting up now...any suggestions?

Make sure you are using the same usb port you used the first time.

If you are at the home page, open the keyboard and type a letter the G1 jumps to your contacts and to items starting with the letter you typed. Cool quick way to look up a contact.

Hi,

I recently bought a G1, love the phone but can't figure out how I can add files and delete files of it or use it as a mass storage device.

When I goto Menu>Settings>SD card & Phone Storage:

There is no option called Use for Mass Storage, I can still save data to my card and stuff but just can't get to it after saving. The SD card is not accessible, when I connect it my laptop running Windows XP Pro SP3, there is not way I can access it from there either. Why is that and how do i do this?

All help is welcome..!

Once you link your G1 to your PC, slide down the Notifications tab on your G1 and in there you will see a button to MOUNT SD CARD, once hit your SD card will be seen by your PC.
