Facing USB Sync Problem With G1

I'm having trouble with my G1.
When I connect the android via usb and check it in my computer,
it shows up as a drive, but when I click on it, it says to insert a disk.
I've tried removing and reinstalling the sd card, but nothing change.

How Can I sync the phone with my pc.
Two Days ago i have owed this phone. But still i am failure to transfer
any data from my pc.....
PLZ HELP

after u plug in your G1 u'll notice a USB symbol on the top bar...slide it down, click on "USB Connected" and when the window pops up click mount
