Hi,
I was wondering if there is a way to make a ringtone a notification ring. If I have my own ringtone I want to hear when i get a notification or whatever. Is there a way to change from the standard ringtones that are preloaded on the Phone?

Also When making a new folder on the home screen is there a way to change the name of it instead of it saying "folder" if i make more then one of them they all say "folder".

Thanks in advance

Hello,
In answer to your question about changing your ringtone or notification sound, there is a way to custom it. First you need an application to browser and move the files on you G1. I use "Afile Lite", but there are others you can get from the market. Once that's done, move the mp3's that you want to use into system/media/audio/ringtones or notifications folders. Then set them on your phone by going settings, sound and display, phone ringtone or notification ringtone. Done.
Hope that helps.

Actually this part is very confusing
system/media/audio/ringtones <----

I have found that all that is needed was to add a folder at the root directory on the SDcard named Notifications or Ringtones.

No need for the system/media/audio part. Thanks for the help tho.

Oh yeah, that would work too. Each to their own method I guess.
Your welcome bud.
