Now we've got some cleaner/clearer high quality pics of the HTC phone:
http://www.talkandroid.com/167-t-mobile-htc-dream-pics/

But what do you think about it?

Based purely on looks im not too keen on the white plastic casing, looks like it may crack easily. Plus i dont really like the bottom menu button layout.

It's certainly not as good looking as the iPhone, something that it's so obviously gonna get compared too.

I was kinda hoping the first Android handset would include some kind of design marvel - i know it was never gonna outshine the iPhone.. but the Dream, well it really does fall short IMO.

Hopefully the Android platform will make up for any cosmetic letdowns!

For me also it's ugly, is not beautiful. And form is acting like plastics. I think I will wait another Android device.

I'm hoping we'll see some new annuncements from other manufacturers shortly, i'd be really disappointed if the Dream is the only Android handset we're gonna see first...

Ok, so it's not the most beautifully aesthetic handset in the world - but who really cares?

I think the Dream is a perfect launch handset for Android. There's touchpad, fold out keyboard, even a trackball should you so wish.

From what i've seen of the handset so far, it seems to be extremely user-friendly and easy to use - isn't that the entire ethos of Android?

You know what, up to yesterday i was a little unsure about the G1... i didn't hate it, i just wasn't all that enthusiastic about the actual handset.

The only real pics of it i'd seen to date were the early pics taken on the leopard print background

Well, after seeing yesterday's spy photo's of the G1 out in the real world... well that's got me hook line and sinker now.

I'm also a big fan of the white, i kinda prefer it to the Black style Touch Diamond i have.

Anyway, can't wait for Tuesday!

I don't know why the release such an ugly device. I saw the HTC Touch HD lately and don't understand why they don't make this way. I love the design of the iPhone, hope they could come up with something like this.
